Hey, small business owners! Do you want to grow your business? Do you want to get more sales and customers but don’t want to spend more?

Maybe you are thinking that it’s not possible. You can’t get more sales, more customers, and overall growth for your small business without spending a good amount.

But let me tell you one thing you can get all these things more customers, more sales, and more business growth without spending much. But how?

So, the answer is SEO. You can get all the things for your business that we have discussed above with the power of SEO.

But before discussing how SEO can grow your small business, let me tell you what is SEO.

What is an SEO?

What is an SEO and How SEO can Grow Your Small Business.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is an important and valuable Digital Marketing skill that helps to rank our website or blog on top of Search Engine Result pages (SERP).

In simpler terms when someone searches ‘Business Problems’ on Google the websites come on top because of good SEO otherwise they won’t come on top.

There are three parts of SEO:-

  • Keyword Research – In this, we find the most relevant and high-volume keywords with less competition.

  • On-Page Optimization – We use it to make our content properly optimized so that we can get top rankings.

  • Off-Page Optimization – This refers to creating authentic backlinks to get a high ranking on SERP.

‘Now, let’s come to the main thing that is

How SEO Can Grow Your Small Business!

How SEO can Grow Your Small Business.

I am going to tell you how SEO can grow your small business in 4 ways. So, let’s discuss about them:-

1. Organic Reach

With the power of SEO your small business will reach more and more people.

It means more and more will know about your business organically (without spending a single rupee on paid advertisement) if you do SEO.

And I want to tell you that even small businesses pay a lot to get reach. But you can get it organically with SEO.

2. Brand Trust

SEO can create trust for businesses among people. But how?

So, the answer is simple when people try to know about something related to your business niche and then they Google their query your website or blog comes on top.

So, it will make them trust your business because they saw it on SERP.

Let me give you an example to make you understand it better:

There is one small business that sells fruit juices and shakes named ‘Fru’ I know it’s not a good name but it’s just an example so don’t mind it and Fru has good SEO.

So, when a person called Sameer searches on Google about ‘Apple Juice v/s Banana shake’ and then Fru’s Blog on this keyword comes on top of SERP.

Sameer reads Fru’s blog and remembers the name of Fru.

So, in the future, if he wants to drink fruit juice and shake there are higher chance that he’ll buy from Fru because he trusted it by reading its blog.

3. More Sales

I want to make you know that Search Engines work upon the concept called ‘Demand fulfillment’.

It means people have already a demand for something that’s why they’re searching for that thing on search engines like Google.

SEO only works for search engines, not for social media.

So, if you’re doing SEO for a small business that will ultimately get you top ranking, and because of that people will come to your blog or website.

And there are very high chances that they will buy from you because they have buying intentions that’s why they searched.

But not in every case people will have the intention to search their query on search engines.

So, if you’re doing SEO for your small business you’ll get more sales because the audience that comes on search engines is a high-intent audience.

5 Steps to Do SEO from Scratch!

How SEO Can Grow Your Business. 5 Steps to do SEO from Scratch.

1. Build a Website

If you don’t have a website for your business then it’s impossible to do SEO and grow the business organically with it.

So, the first step that you need to take is to build your website.

Do not just build the website but customize it to the fullest extent so that it becomes best for your business.

If you know how to build a website then you can do it by your own-self or you can hire someone who can build a professional and beautiful-looking website for your small business.

2. Start a Blog

The second step is to start creating a blog related to your business on your website.

You need to create a blog because SEO is not a one-time process so you can’t just depend on optimizing your website for SEO to get results.

You need to consistently create blogs by using all the SEO Techniques that I am going to tell you below.

3. Keyword Research

It’s the first part of SEO as I told you above. So, in keyword research, you need to research the keyword that you will for any particular blog.

It’s too important because if you’re not using the keyword for your blog which people are using to search their query then you will not get a ranking on SERP.

So, make sure you are using the right keyword that has good volume and less competition.

But how will you get the keyword with high volume and less competition?

For this use these 3 Keyword platforms that I use to:-

4. On-Page Optimization

In this part of SEO you need to optimize the content of your blog to get a good ranking on SERP. There are some On-Page Optimization techniques that you can use.

Five On-Page SEO Techniques:-

  • Unique Content – The content of your blog should be unique and how can you make it unique? Just making it humanized means writing it by your own-self or through any other human.
  • Title – Your title should be a maximum of 60 characters and should have the keyword that you’re targeting in it.
  • Meta Description – Your keyword should also be in the Meta description. Make your meta description attractive and the maximum limit for it is 160 characters.
  • Permalink – Also include your keyword in the permalink that has a maximum of 75 characters limit.
  • Links – Use internal and external links in your blog. An internal link will be the link to any page or blog post of your own website and the external link will be for any external website.

5. Off-Page Optimization

In off-page optimization, you need to create authentic relevant backlinks for your blog.

When any other web page or post has a link to any of the web pages or posts of your website is a backlink.

Three things you need to know for creating backlinks:-

Relevant Content – Whenever you’re getting the backlink make sure that website has the relevant content for your niche.

DA – Domain Authority (DA) is a score that helps in SEO ranking. The Maximum DA score could be 100.

So, make sure that the site that is giving you the backlink should have at least a 20 DA score.

I would like to say in starting it’s fine to get a backlink from a site that has a DA lesser than 20.

But don’t compromise with the content relevancy.

Anchor Text – It’s the text that the website that gave you the backlink has used as the title of the backlink.

For exampleWhat is Digital Marketing for Beginners? it’s a link to one of my blogs. So the text I have used ‘What is Digital Marketing for Beginners?’ is the anchor text. I hope you got it.

Types of Anchor Text:-

Naked URL: It’s the exact the URL like

Generic: General words like read more and learn more etc.

Brand: Your brand name as an Anchor Text.

Same: This is exactly the same as the title.

For example – the Title of a web page or blog is Abdul Samad and the anchor text is also Abdul Samad.

Web 2.0

It’s a technique that you can use to create backlinks for your blogs.

So, what do you need to do with this technique?

You need to write little short articles on platforms like Medium and Tumbler, articles should be related to your main blog, and in those articles link your main blog that will be a backlink for it.

You can use the AI-generated content as well for the articles but for the main blog don’t use it otherwise you will not get the results and your efforts will be wasted.
