What is Digital Marketing?
Marketing products or services using the internet is called Digital Marketing, yeah that’s it only.
Digital Marketing is also known as Online Marketing and Internet Marketing.
Brands and Businesses use Digital Marketing because it’s effective and efficient as well to get desired results.
Digital Marketing is much more powerful and affordable than traditional marketing that’s one more reason why brands and business invest their money in Digital Marketing.
Why Brands Prefer Digital Marketing?
1. Wide Reach
As I told you Digital Marketing is nothing but the marketing using internet.
So, the whole world is connected to the internet that’s why digital marketing has a global reach.
Any brand or business can reach anyone or everyone on the globe who’s on the internet.
2. Highly Affordable
Digital Marketing is highly affordable so that brands and businesses can market their product or services and get more customers and sales at a very cheap cost.
And it also helps businesses to reach their Target audience at very low cost.
3. Better Results
Digital Marketing Gives you better Results than Traditional Marketing.
You can get Brand awareness, more sales & more customers, and overall business growth in less time with the help of Digital Marketing.
4. Retarget
In traditional and electronic marketing it’s very difficult to retarget or remarket.
But in digital marketing, it’s not difficult brands can easily remarket to their customers or potential customers who interacted with them online.
‘Digital Marketing is going to be a $786 billion industry by 2026.’
Types of Digital Marketing
There are so many types of Digital Marketing let’s talk about some of them:-
1. SEO
It’s a Digital Marketing skill to rank the website or blog on top of SERP (Search Engine Result Page).
It helps to get more visibility, leads, and ultimately more sales.
But patience is required for SEO because you will not get the result in one day only but one day you will get the result.
You need to know these 3 Things to do SEO:-
- Keyword Research – In this, you will find the keyword for a website or blog.
- On-Page Optimization – You need to follow some On-Page SEO techniques.
- Off-Page Optimization – In off-Page, you need to create authentic backlinks at relevant sites.

2. PPC
It’s also like SEO but it’s paid and SEO is organic.
As I told you above you can’t get the result in one day with SEO but with PPC or by doing PPC you can get the result in one day as well.
PPC refers to Pay-per-click in which we have to pay Google when anyone clicks on it.
In PPC our site will be on top of SERP from day 1 but we will have to pay at every click that a person will do on our site.
3. SMM
Social Media Marketing (SMM) refers to creating valuable, authentic, and unique content on social media platforms to get brand awareness, more sales or customers, and build a genuine connection with the Target Audience and also engage with them.
4. Landing Page Creation
It refers to creating a high-quality Landing Page that helps to convert a lead into a customer.
The landing page is a page where people land and fill out a form and give their details like Name, Phone no, and Email.
I am also pretty sure that you have filled in your details on any of the landing pages.
And to get the details marketers give any free thing like a free e-book, webinar, mini-course, etc.
And that free item is called Lead Magnet which attracts people to come and give their details.
5. Marketing Automation
It is a series of processes to automate marketing tasks without constant human intervention.
In simpler words, marketing automation helps marketers to automate tasks so that they will not do the same tasks again and again.
For Example = A marketer wants to send emails to 100 people and the content of the email is the same so marketing automation will help to send the email to those 100 people at once and will save the time from not sending the email one by one to each of them.
6. Paid Ads
These are the advertisements that run on Social Media platforms and these are paid.
Paid ads include YouTube ads, Facebook ads, Instagram ads, LinkedIn ads, and many others.
Running Paid ads is an important skill because brands can’t just focus on organic marketing to get results.
With paid ads brands can get the result quickly than organic marketing.
Demand for Digital Marketing and Marketers
Let me tell you this the demand for Digital Marketing and Marketers will remain high because businesses want to grow their business without spending more and Digital Marketing is helping them to achieve growth at a low cost.
